Your Duty in the Event of a Loss

  1. Notify the police the same day if a law may be broken.
  2. Immediately notify the agency and/or the Insurance provider of the loss or damage, include a description of the damaged property involved and how, when, and where the loss or damage occurred.
  3. Take pictures as evidence of damaged property.
  4. If you noticed any Mold spot, do not try to clean it, your insurance adjuster will refer you to a Mold Remediation Company to do a professional cleaning.
  5. Take reasonable steps to protect your property from further damage, make TEMPORARY REPAIR (save receipts) until the Insurance company sends their adjuster.
  6. Save all damaged items for Inspection by company adjuster.
  7. Complete a written inventory of your damaged items; include quantities, cost or value and a total amount of loss claimed.
  8. Obtain 2 estimates for a final restoration of your property.
